People are curious about our name. It is derived from and inspired by the golden riffleshell mussel, a singular species found only in Tazewell County in the Clinch River. It nearly went extinct recently. Through diligence, vision and determination, it is being restored. At The Lost Pearl we feel an affinity for this unique creature. In the past, influenced by industry, our way of life as artisans was put aside or forgotten. It is our intention this way of life be restored and found thriving at The Lost Pearl Art Gallery. Please visit the Lost Pearl soon, you never know what gems you might discover.
