From 2007 to 2012, I was afforded the opportunity to work and study with a renowned fused glass artist. This led to establishing my own fused glass studio, by Kaki. In addition, I completed several classes in stained glass design and innovative approaches to the creation of glass jewelry.
My jewelry is all created from dichroic glass that has been kiln-fired. In my glass fusion I cut pieces of glass into various shapes and sizes according to what I'm making. These pieces are fused in a glass kiln at temperatures ranging from 1200* to 1600*. Its very exiting to watch how the application of heat transforms the visual appearance of the glass into functional pieces of art. I find the range of colors, techniques, and textures to be fascinating. Each piece is unique and one of a kind.
